The gods worshipped by the Gael people are part of an extended family. Muirghean, Danu and Arnwen are elemental forces that have always existed and from them the other gods arose. The gods of the people of the South (the Beltae and the Gedesh) reflect the lands that they inhabit, harsh and unforgiving, yet passionate and full of life. Many of the gods of the South were not born gods, but have been uplifted from their mortal form through supernatural means or through acts that defy the normal bounds of mortal activity. It is the belief that ascension from mortal to godhood is possible that drives the people of the south to strive against the odds. Egrane

The church of Caelum is the state religion in the Empire of Tyrisia and has outlawed the worship of the other "old" gods. Among the other Tyrisian people, the pantheon of Tyrisian gods are still followed that has led to large-scale conflict between the Empire and its Tyrisian neighbours. Imperial missionaries have recently arrived in the Aeden Isles and have established the church of Caelum (known to the Gael as Caerwyn) as the dominant religion of Cwaenydd, the largest of the Aeden Isles. In these lands, worship of other deities is rapidly being stamped out. Adryn Battlemistress
