Welcome to The Guild Companion

The Guild Companion site was a fan supported e-zine that ran from its first issue in December of 1998 to its final issue in February of 2019. Pick a year by using the navigation at the top or side, or use the integrated search box.

About this site

The Guild Companion's emphasis was on Iron Crown products like Rolemaster, Middle-Earth Role-playing, and Silent Death: The New Millenium. But, it also covered other areas including original fiction, reviews, and general roleplaying.

So what's going on here? Well, The Guild Companion has been offline for a number of years now and we thougt it would be nice to at least bring the content back on line. That's the first order of business. Perhaps in the future new content could be added, if people are interested in creating that content.

The old web-site was a simple static site whose design had not been updated since about 2004. That's not really a negative, the site was simple and served its purpose. For now, we are tyring to bring the old content back at convert it to a more modern site with things like integrated search and navigation. We'll see how that goes.

Where to start?

Not sure where to begin? Try these articles:

• The Social Implications of Magic on how magic might reshape society.
• How about a tale of endings from the world of Marth?
• Dark Lore spells in a corrupted area of Middle-earth.
• HARP without professions for variant character-creation rules.
• A Channeling spell list fit for the Lady of the Lake.

Thanks for looking around.
